Activity Trainer Home Bundle

Announcing: The Activity Trainer Video Modeling Program, from the creators of the DT Trainer!

AES is pleased to bring you our second tool to help make a difference in the education of individuals with autism and other learning disabilities. The Activity Trainer is designed to make video modeling even more powerful and practical for use in the classroom and home.

The Activity Trainer addresses the need to improve teaching of SKILLS. Since the DT Trainer focuses on teaching concepts, having both tools allows AES to have the platforms that allow us to create the content to help teach essential skills and content to any age learner.

Video modeling has been shown in numerous studies to improve acquisition rates of a wide variety of skills for individuals with autism and other learning disabilities. In the past, using video modeling has been cumbersome and difficult due to lack of tools and resources. Consequently, few of our students are benefiting from this powerful teaching method. We took this on as a mission to change this situation. We have had input from researchers, academics, parents, and centers of excellence that are using video modeling to design this next generation tool and make VM practical for school and home.

With the Activity Trainer, it is easy to present tasks (activities) in various ways to help teach segments, and sequences, and transitions from the videos to less supportive instructions like images, text, and audio. We are creating a large library of ready-to-use activities that can be adapted to meet specific student needs. The Activity Trainer also provides a feature to allow you to add your own videos and activities.

The Schedule feature of the Activity Trainer is a unique tool that allows learned activities to be incorporated into personalized visual schedules that will help the student develop skills needed for independent time management and task completion. Any number of schedules can be created for a student for various purposes from academics, social, self help, to vocational and play activities.

The Skills Library is organized into the major categories of Academic, Communication, Daily Living, Nonverbal Imitations, Recreation, Social, and Vocational skills. The Skills Library of permanent activities is an expanding bank that we will continue to develop. We currently have almost 60 activities in the areas of coloring, copying, clay, links, tracing, sorting, chores, self care, nonverbal imitations, recreation, play-construction, pretend play, and basic conversational greetings. We are currently working on several hundred more activities in these areas and including: cutting, drawing, writing, letter identification, speech, and basic vocational. There is currently sufficient content to start developmentally preschool individuals on the Activity Trainer. We will soon have a much wider range of activities so stay tuned if you have higher functioning students. Since customers get 1 year of upgrades, it is like you are buying the Activity Trainer one year into the future.

You will be amazed at the current robustness of the Activity Trainer, and this is just 1.0 version!

As with the DT Trainer, there is a 30-day trial. Purchase will include 1 year of updates, new video resources, and tech support. The pricing is currently the same as the DT Trainer so it is affordable for home and school use with a wide variety of students.
